Equidev is proud to announce the active participation of its senior staff, led by CEO Gulchehra Boboeva, at the third high-level international conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from June 10 to June 13. This prestigious event gathered global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to advance sustainable water management and foster international cooperation. The Equidev team was deeply involved in various segments of the conference, contributing to plenary sessions, interactive dialogues, forums, side events, cultural events, field trips, and the international exhibition.
A standout moment was CEO Gulchehra Boboeva’s role as a panelist in Interactive Dialogue 1: Water for Health. She passionately discussed the main challenges in accessing WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) in healthcare facilities in the least developed countries and how these challenges impact health, particularly women’s health, preventable infections, and the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance. Drawing from her extensive experience in the WASH sector, she highlighted the need for increased funding and investment, comprehensive training for healthcare staff, rigorous policy implementation, community engagement, and robust monitoring systems to accelerate progress in these countries. Equidev’s comprehensive involvement in the Dushanbe Water Action Decade Conference underscores its dedication to global collaboration and sustainable water management practices, continuing to shape the future of water sustainability on a global scale.
