We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new one-year project on the Implementation of the WASH in Schools Three Star Approach in Tajikistan. The project aims to improve the health condition of schoolchildren and citizens through access to sustainable WASH services and improved hygiene behaviors in 14 cities and districts of Tajikistan.
On this occasion, on January 22, 2024, Equidev delivered a presentation in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Education and Science and representatives from UNICEF. The project’s goal and objectives, planned activities and expected results were highlighted in the presentation.
It is expected that by the end of December 2024, the Three Star Approach is introduced in 50 schools across 14 cities and districts in Tajikistan, school teachers are equipped with skills, knowledge, and motivation to sustain the Three Star Approach and the effective operation and maintenance systems are in place across 50 schools to sustain WASH infrastructure.
The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF and Equidev.
