On January 23, 2025, Equidev, with funding from the German Embassy in Tajikistan, inaugurated a new toilet facility at Miskinobod Rural District Hospital in Fayzobod District, significantly improving hygiene conditions and accessibility for hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
The newly constructed facility includes four toilet stalls—two for men and two for women—equipped with a water heater and handwashing stands, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for hospital users. This upgrade addresses longstanding sanitation challenges and enhances hospital hygiene standards, creating a healthier and safer setting for medical care.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Fayzobod District Chairman Mr. Karimzoda Mansur Taghoy, German Ambassador Mr. York Schuegraf, Equidev CEO Ms. Gulchehra Boboeva, and hospital representatives, who emphasized the importance of proper WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) infrastructure in healthcare settings.
Speaking at the ceremony, Equidev CEO Ms. Gulchehra Boboeva highlighted the project’s significance:
“This modern toilet facility is not just an infrastructure improvement; it is a symbol of progress, better health, and our shared commitment to strengthening public services in Fayzobod. With the support of the German Embassy, Equidev has already constructed three modern toilet facilities in rural hospitals, demonstrating how collaborative efforts can create lasting impact on community health and environmental protection.”
